Bewitched – Spotlight & Review

Bewitched by Sandra Schwab  Published by Love Spell/Dorchester April 2008

  • Mass Market Paperback: 321 pages
  • Publisher: Dorchester / Historical Rom (Mar 10 2008)
  • Language: English
  • ISBN-10: 0505527235
  • ISBN-13: 978-0505527233
  • (from back cover) “SWEET PASSION. After a magical mishap that turned her uncle’s house blue, Miss Amelia Bourne was stripped of her powers and sent to London in order to be introduced into polite society – and to find a suitable husband. Handsome, rakish Sebastien “Fox” Stapleton was all that and more. He was her true love. Wasn’t he?

OR THE BITTER TASTE OF DECEIT. At Rawdin Park, the country estate of the Stapleton’s, Amy began to wonder. Several inexplicable events suggested that one sip of punch had changed her life forever – that this love, this lust, was nothing but an illusion. She and Fox were pawns in some mysterious game, and black magic had followed them out of Town. Without her powers, would she be strong enough to battle those dark forces and win? And would she be able to claim her heart’s true desire? Magic potion or no, what she felt for Fox was a spell that could never be broken.”

A Historical Paranormal Romance, though not my usual fare, it was quite enjoyable. Ms. Schwab paints a wonderful tale that takes you back to a time in London when magic and the like were to be kept very hush, hush. Amy and Fox are perfect for each other and the tale is one of intrigue, romance, danger and true love. If you’re at all a fan of historical paranormal romance, then I highly recommend this book.
