“In Seattle’s undead circles, Amanda Feral is one of the beautiful zombies. Of course, when you’re socializing with werewolves, devils, and rampaging yetis, there’s not that much competition. Still, Amanda has a stylish rep to maintain, which is getting tricky now that her tanking ad agency is obliterating her finances. The fastest way to make some cash: appear on a new reality show, American Minions, hosted by lecherous wood nymph Johnny Birch. Classy? Maybe not, but a girl’s gotta eat.

With zombie gal pal Wendy posing as her bitchy agent, Amanda settles in to “Minions Mansion,” crowded with 24-7 video cameras and undead fame whores. When Johnny is found incinerated in a locked room, Amanda decides to channel her inner Miss Marple (minus the fugly cardigans) and find out who’s responsible. Was it Hairy Sue, the white trash stripper yeti? Tanesha, the glamorous trannie werewolf? Angie, the Filipino vampire with a detachable head? Unveiling the culprit in a heart-stopping finale won’t just save the show from cancellation, it might just keep Amanda alive—or as close as a ghoul can get…”

    My Thoughts:

The third book in this series brings us back into the seedy underside of supernatural Seattle starring the fabulously snarky, crass and gut-popping hilarious Amanda Feral. Amanda’s Ad agency is crashing and she’s in dire need of finances to support her need of the reapers repairs to her undead zombie body that’s rotting and doesn’t heal on it’s own. She also maintains a celebutante lifestyle, so she agrees to judge a reality tv show to make ends meet. In her usual outrageous form, she also takes on finding out who murdered the host, Johnny Birch, a wood nymph.

With Wendy, Gil, Mr Kim, Honey and Ethel by her side providing the usual side-splitting hijinks, Amanda takes on reality tv, solving a murder and a relationship with a sexy werewolf named Scott. Amanda shows some surprisingly redeeming qualities while providing her hysterically funny footnotes to the reader. A reality tv supernatural tv show guide is also provided and I loved it!

Mark Henry’s deliciously outrageous snarky writing is excellent and never fails to shock, amuse and entertain. I highly recommend this series to Urban Fantasy fans who love to be a bit… well ok, totally grossed out while laughing your head off. I also think a WARNING should be issued with these books  it’s dangerous to consume any beverages while reading as snorting will occur, lol.
