The Darkest Pleasure – Spotlight & Review
The Darkest Pleasure by Gena Showalter
(From Back Cover)
“He can bear any pain but the thought of losing her…
Reyes is a man possessed. Bound by the demon of pain, he is forbidden to know pleasure. Yet he craves a mortal woman, Danika Ford, more than breath and will do anything to claim her—even defy the gods.
Danika is on the run. For months she’s eluded the Lords of the Underworld, immortal warriors who won’t rest until she and her family have been destroyed. But her dreams are haunted by Reyes, the warrior whose searing touch she can’t forget. Yet a future together could mean death to all they both hold dear.…”
This is the third book in Gena Showalter’s Lords Of The Underworld series and I would like to go on record as saying that I AM OFFICIALLY HOOKED!! It’s right up there with JR Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood series, and is on my auto-buy list. Yes indeed. 🙂
This book follows Reyes and Danika’s story and also keeps all the other characters in this on-going story out where you can fall for them too. I’m totally blown away by the story weaving involved to write a series as amazing as this one. The hunt for the artifacts to find Pandora’s Box is on with enemies aplenty to try and beat the “Lords” to them, and amongst battles, both inner and outer, a touching love story evolves and wraps you up in the telling. Simply put, these stories are stunning and you can’t help but fall in love with the Lords Of The Underworld!

The Darkest Kiss – Spotlight & Review
The Darkest Kiss by Gena Showalter
( From Back Cover )
“She has tempted many men… but never found her equal.
Until now.
Though she has lived for centuries, Anya, goddess of anarchy, has never known pleasure. Until Lucien, the incarnation of death—a warrior eternally doomed to take souls to the hereafter. He draws her like no other. And Anya will risk anything to have him.
But when the merciless Lord of the Underworld is ordered by the gods to claim Anya herself, their uncontrollable attraction becomes an anguished pursuit. Now they must defeat the unconquerable forces that control them, before their thirst for one another demands a sacrifice of love beyond imagining.…”
This is the second book in Gena Showalter’s Lords Of The Underworld series and it does not disappoint. Lucien and Anya are perfectly matched to go up against each other and the sparks were flying right off the get-go. Ms. Showalter is a master of fusing fun, passion, danger, mystery, the forbidden and the paranormal all into a grand adventure and love story. The search for Pandora’s box continues as well as for some ancient relics that may help “The Lords” find it. Several other characters’ story-lines are developed while taking us through Lucien and Anya’s story, and I for one, am definitely hooked. This series is evolving into one that I hope will last for several more novels!
The Darkest Night – Spotlight & Review
The Darkest Night by Gena Showalter May/08 by HQN
The first novel in The Lords Of The Underworld series, The Darkest Night did not disappoint. Maddox, the host of the demon Violence, and Ashlyn are a great pairing. Suffering untold amounts of pain and trials to be together, they captured my attention and carried me into their world to experience it all as if I were in the stronghold with them! The cast of characters, world-building and premise behind this series involves Greek Gods, Pandora’s Box, Immortal Warriors, Curses, Demons, Hunters, Romance and a whole lot of action and danger. That’s a mix to get me hooked and wanting more! Plus, I am Hungarian, so basing it in Budapest and having some Hungarian in the book was also pretty cool to me personally.
This book is the beginning of what promises to be an awesome series, right up there with JR Wards’ Black Dagger Brotherhood books. I am happy to say that the first three books in the series, The Darkest Night, The Darkest Kiss and The Darkest Pleasure are all being released one month apart! May, June and July. Get ready to have your socks knocked off by Showalters sinfully sexy Lords Of The Underworld, I know I did! If Gena Showalter wasn’t already on my auto-buy list, she would be just based on this book. Run and get it for yourself.

The following ISBNs are associated with this title:
ISBN – 10:0373771886
ISBN – 13:9780373771882
(from back cover) “Enter a mythical world of dragons, demons and nymphs…enter a world of dark seduction and powerful magic…enter Atlantis…
Females young and old, beautiful and plain crave Valerian’s touch. None can resist his blatant sensuality and potent allure…until he steals Shaye Holling from a Florida beach and holds her prisoner in his underwater kingdom.
The cynical Shaye wants nothing to do with the mighty warlord, but she’s inexplicably drawn to him. For underneath the warrior’s arrogant beauty lies a complex and powerful man. A man whose caress is like fire…
Now Valerian must fight for the privilege of claiming her as his own. Because there’s one thing Shaye doesn’t know…
That when a nymph discovers his true mate, she’s his for life.”
This is Ms. Showalter’s third paranormal romp through Atlantis,(at least I believe it’s the third, please don’t flame me anyone if I’m wrong! ), and I enjoyed it immensely. She has a wonderful sense of humour, and Shaye is a fun character to follow through her ups and downs. The world building of Atlantis and the characters there are great, I’m looking forward to more romantic adventures here and in any other “world” Ms. Showalter creates. Shaye and Valerian along with the supporting characters were a lot of fun to read. I got totally wrapped up in this story for a few hours and for me, that’s the goal of reading, so The Nymph King gets
