About Me
I read Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Romance, Light Fantasy, Young Adult and Graphic Novels in said genres. I’ve also been known to read the odd historical romance if they involve uber-sexy highlanders, vikings or knights & if they involve some time travel and a lot of humor. Heh! 😀 If any Authors, Publicists or Publishers would like their books reviewed or would like to schedule a Guest Blog or Giveaway please contact me at sidhevicious@gmail.com
Please see the BIOS page for more info on our reviewing style and for other info.

I can’t say that I have had any experiences with magicians, vampires or newspaper reporters. Great review of Night’s Pleasure.

Hmm, not magicians specifically, but one of my favorite songs of all time is “Magic Show” by the now defunct band Push On Junior. Great lyrics: “…he knows that this crowd is his, because they want to believe, yeah, they want to believe… and watch the magic show.”
Comment by Chris | February 9, 2009 |
On a visit my grandfather’s when I was a teenager, he took me to see a magic show. I was picked by the magician to be hypnotized. It didn’t work. The magician was trying to put me to sleep. I remember wanting to just get off the stage, so I pretended to fall asleep. Just a weird experience.

My dad used to work for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Some of the people he knew worked in the newsroom. It was pretty cool to hear that he knew some of these people and his impression of them (he liked some and others, of course were such jerks!)

Hi Sidhe! I have to say that I have not had any experiences with magic, but I love the song Do You Believe In Magic by The Lovin Spoonful. I’ve never been in the newspapers but my son has been in them several times and also on TV. I subscribe to your Blog via email and I would love to win a copy of Night’s Pleasure!

Hi, Virginia, I live in Pittsburgh!
The most I can contribute is that I saw David Copperfield live a while back (he’s not very popular at the moment lol).
Comment by catslady | February 9, 2009 |
When I was in high school, a bunch of buys thought they were vampires, and would use little daggers to cut themselves and let other people suck their blood and would convince the other people to reciprocate. Needless to say, I never participated.

Great comments everyone! It’s alright if you don’t have any stories to tell, altough if you want to write a little fiction about meeting a vampire, that’s ok too! 😉
Holy smokes Mo, That’s crazy what was going on in your high school! Yikes! 8)

We were in a car accident just over a year ago and the television news reporter and camera man was there even before the fire truck. It was amazing how much bigger the story was when it hit the news than what actually happened.
Thanks for entering me.

Hi Judi
About a year ago a reporter from a small Alabama newspaper (can’t remember the name) was writing an article about vampire fiction and emailed me wanting my “expert” opinion on the genre. That was my 15 seconds of fame.
Comment by Patricia | February 11, 2009 |
I met a magician at a Renaissance Faire once! We sat on hay and he did all matter of tricks for us dressed as Merlin or something.

Great review! 🙂
Vampires and Goths oh my! There was a well known club in T.O that closed its doors in 2000 called The Sanctuary Vampire Sex Bar. It was the longest-runnning gothic bar and was open seven days a week. SVSB was the first industrial club in Canada, and it served as an introduction to the scene for many. I was lucky enough to have visited the bar on several occasions, and thoroughly enjoyed mingling with those within, especially the ones who took the time to create their own vampire persona.
Comment by Amaranth | February 12, 2009 |
Ah, vampires. I think I met one once. Or maybe the guy was just really pale. You never can tell these days. If you want a definite experience, I did go see David Copperfield in Las Vegas.
Comment by Tiffany | February 12, 2009 |
I can’t say that I have had any experiences with any of the above but I have had a stalker and he thought he was a vampire. Very creepy if you ask me. I guess he didn’t make a good vampire because the police had no problems catching him lol.
Comment by Carmen R | February 13, 2009 |
I cannot say that I have had any experiences with magicians, vampires or newspaper reporters. Although as a child I tried learning a few cards tricks to show my cousins. Sadly as an adult I forgot all of them. 😀

Hi, It’s great that I found your blog. I love reading about vampires and the supernatural.I often listen to books on CD on my commute to and from work. This is the only time I have to enjoy my hobby. Thanks for all your reviews and blogs. Keep up the great job!!!
Comment by Joyce | February 15, 2009 |
Currently I work with a young male who has hair growing wildly out of his ears, down his neck and along side his face and if I didn’t know better I’d think he was a
werewolf! Yet I see you aren’t asking about my experiences with werewolfs, okay newspaper reporter who stopped me on the street to find out what I was reading and he posted a comment that sounded like I was wondering what life would be like if I had married my HS sweetheart vs my husband. My husband got a lot of jabbing for that one! : }
Thanks!

I once made a comment to a reporter “off the record” and found it in print the next day. I’d have liked to have sent a mean vampire her way! 😉

I would love to read this. I saw Penn & Teller on New Years Eve several years ago. It was an amazing performance.
Thanks

I was an amateur magician and ventriloquist in high school. It was pretty fun and I even performed at a kid’s birthday party once.
The main experience that I have with newspaper reporters happened when I taught salsa dancing a few years back. I sent out a press release and the local paper did a big write up on our weekly salsa nights. It was a blast!
